Once upon a time, destructive fires occurred more often in Norwich. Over the years, this city has fallen victim to many. Back on March 12, 1876, the Alms House burned and took 16 lives. The "poor farm," as it was better known, was on Asylum Street.

The repair and sales business developed a solid reputation for catering to law enforcement and military personnel. Sam and Shelby Khoury had scraped the bottom of their checking account and started to dip into savings to make ends meet. Something had to change.
